In case you missed it...

Closing the Gap and Raising the Bar
Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has issued a letter to school and education community leaders that expresses the importance of the arts in school curriculum. In the letter he announced upcoming surveying that will be used to develop the first comprehensive profile of arts education in the United States. In a NAMM Foundation teleconference, Duncan reiterated his support and urged communities to think creatively towards strategies that will provide access to high quality learning opportunities that include the arts for all children.
